ME.
Yea, I really am... or was.
I was re-learning the song Chicken Patty, when I noticed... It's actually a quite good song.
In my musical naivety, I had created a great song. It was off beat, and had no timing, but it was a really good song.
I don't even know what I was thinking when I was writing it, but It's really good.
I can see how it was influenced by Green Day's 'Jesus Of Suburbia,' which isn't really that great.
I'm not even a big fan of Green Day anymore, they only have 2 or 3 good albums anyway.
I'll probably re-do Chicken Patty in due time.
I actually wrote another song, but I'll probably end up putting it on the end of that combination of 'Dwelling' and 'Worry Wart.' Which is starting to sound kinda good.
The combination is the same as Dwelling, up until after the part before the outro, but then Worry Wart is played there. Then the outro of Dwelling comes back in, than some finger-picking part, than another finger-picking part, Than a part that sounds like Worry Wart, but it's in a different key.
I'm trying to fit in an arpeggio type of bit after the altered reprise of worry wart (although it's not really a reprise) and trust me, it sounds cliche as hell, but it's somewhat catchy.
I know it's been quite a while since I've actually put up an actual song, but I'll be done with this sooner or later.
The only problem I have is that I don't own a bass, and I'd rather not use samples.
I also have terrible timing on the drums, and the headphones that I need to wear (for the metronome) on my recorder don't work out when I'm playing the drums.
So I'll probably submit a work-in-progress version of the new song in the next week or so...
Or probably not, because I'll get really obsessive compulsive about it, and try to make it sound a certain way, and than fail miserably at it...etc...
