I know how to read music, I just prefer tabs for guitar, because it's more instinctive.
I can read music and tabs just hte same, but I primarily use tabs because they're more accessible.
Those programs that let you write music on the computer are expensive, from what I've heard.
Powertabs is free, and I got Guitarpro for free (illegally) extremely easy.
You can do both tabs and notation on

Don't get powertab if you're getting guitarpro.
1.) Guitarpro can play powertab files
2.) guitarpro is SO much better.
